Surgery.

Well, Travis just got his surgery yesterday and for the first 12 hours, it was pretty easy....until the nerve block wore off and he could feel EVERYTHING. Small bumps on the road, sleeping, and, even walking has become a challenge to handle. It really does make me sick inside to see my husband in such severe pain. I'm used to him being Mr. Super man marine and I hope that I can take care of him in a way that will make this healing process that much easier. We have physical therapy scheduled for every two weeks and that will help stretch out his range of motion again. His shoulder had rubber stoppers and a housing unit put in around the joint to make a cushion to prevent any further pain and dislocations. Bone was cut and muscle was folded over so you can imagine how much the Doc poked round. He will be in a sling for one month and will be in therapy for 6 months. We will be headed back up to Ohio from North Caroline tomorrow after his first therapy session and will be back and forth with in the next month or two working out arrangements. We hope to see everyone soon and we will have pictures posted as soon as possible. We hope you like the new blog!
